Project Description

UrbanMatters partnered with the Hampstead Group to protect housing affordability in upper northwest neighborhood. The portfolio is comprised of 4 scattered site building in the Brightwood neighborhood that were acquired and revitalized through the District’s Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Assistance program (TOPA):

  • Homestead – the 55-unit building was revitalized through the District’s Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Assistance program (TOPA)
  • Concord – the acquisition and redevelopment of 88 apartments and the development of six new apartments making use of underutilized space in the building.
  • Valencia – the acquisition and redevelopment of 34 apartments and the development of two new apartments making use of underutilized space in the building.
  • Vizcaya – the acquisition and redevelopment of 18 apartments and development of one new apartment making use of underutilized space in the building.
  • The Kingston – the acquisition and redevelopment of 23 apartments.
